One of the funniest moments in Oscar history happened a few years back. Michael Clarke Duncan got up to the podium, looked out at the audience and said, “I see white people.”
That’s the perfect riff on “I see dead people” from the flash-in-the-pan film, The Sixth Sense. Not one to let a good joke die, I say “I see white people” every year while watching the Oscars (the Scout calls this behavior ‘endearing’). I love it when something is true and funny.
